Head Coach: Paul Green

Starting 13: Morgan, Feldt, Dunn, Opacic, Tuala, Asiata, Clifford, McGuire, Granville, McLean, Cooper, Hess, Taumalolo – Interchanges: Cotter, Wright, Bolton, Molo – Reserves: Hola, Bowen, Jensen, Pere

Unavailable: Murray Taulagi, Nene Macdonald, Te Maire Martin, Ben Hampton, Justin O’Neill, Matt Scott, Jordan Kahu, Gideon Gela-Mosby, Kurt Baptiste

  • North Queensland managed to hold on as Kyle Feldt's last-ditch try-saving tackle earned the Cowboys the win over Gold Coast as their impressive run of form continued after securing a third consecutive win.

  • The Cowboys lost two more players last week with Jordan Kahu and Gideon Gela-Mosby both set for stints on the sidelines but thankfully for the Cowboys, they are able to call upon their Origin players.

  • Michael Morgan will take Kahu’s place at fullback whilst Josh McGuire will return at prop which sees Scott Bolton drop to the bench whilst Enari Tuala comes onto the wing and 20-year-old Reuben Cotter will make his NRL debut from the interchanges.

Head Coach: Des Hasler

Starting 13: T. Trbojevic, Taufua, Walker, Suli, Garrick, Cust, Elgey, Fonua-Blake, Koroisau, Taupau, Thompson, Sironen, Gosiewski – Interchanges: Fainu, Elliot, Boyle, Paseka – Reserves: J. Trbojevic, Cherry-Evans, Olakau’atu, Perrett

Unavailable: Albert Hopoate, Toafofoa Sipley, Lachlan Croker, Brad Parker

  • Manly were again poor as they left it too late to give the ball some air against Penrith as they came out second best to the Panthers but could have some significant inclusions come kick-off against North Queensland.

  • The Sea Eagles have received a huge boost with Tom Trbojevic named to start at fullback and he will be eager to impress after a long stint out as he attempts to put himself back in the frame for a Blues jersey.

  • Tom’s brother Jake appeared to come through Origin unscathed and will back-up here but it remains to be seen if Daly Cherry-Evans will be risked after he overcame an ankle injury to feature on Wednesday but in another boost for Manly, Moses Suli is back in the centres.

The Cowboys made it three wins in a row as they defeated Gold Coast but are now in the midst of a serious injury crisis with Michael Morgan having to back-up at fullback following Origin. They host an out-of-sorts Manly side who will improve with Tom Trbojevic back and should edge this. The Sea Eagles had managed to get by without Trbojevic in their side but having fallen by the wayside recently, they will be delighted to have him back and he can prove to be the difference between the two teams.
