All-time meetings: Khulna Titans W2, Sylhet Sixers W0, No result 1
Last meeting: Khulna Titans beat Sylhet Sixers by 21 runs

Coach: Mahela Jayawardene

Captain: Mahmudullah

  • Khulna Titans snapped their losing run last time by beating the Sylhet Sixers by 21 runs on Wednesday as they face them once again here and this is another must-win match for them if they are to have any hope of reaching the knockout phase.

  • That win came after a number of close defeats in their previous matches and they will take heart from the win as they face the Sixers once again here as they look to make further improvements with the bat and the ball although both areas have seen a notable improvement already.

  • David Wiese has been made an important contribution with both bat and ball in recent games while the inclusion of Yasir Shah has helped Taijul Islam even further with only Subashis Roy the weak link in this bowling attack as they will likely be unchanged for this game.

Coach: Waqar Younis

Captain: Alok Kapali

  • After defeat on Wednesday to the Titans, the Sixers bounced back immediately on Thursday with a comprehensive win over the Rajshahi Kings by 76 runs and they still have a chance of reaching the knockout round but know a win here is vital.

  • Alok Kapali captained the side ahead of Sohail Tanvir and that worked well for both players as they shone with bat and ball to help build a strong total of 180/6 batting first with some excellent hitting late in the innings and they combined for five wickets for 32 from their 6.2 overs.

  • Jason Roy came into the side at number three for this first match of the BPL and he fired right from the start with a superb knock of 42 from 28 balls to lay the foundations for the total and they will surely go unchanged as they look to avenge the defeat on Wednesday by the Titans.

Plenty on the line for both teams coming into this game as they sit outside the play-off places and simply have to win this match to have any chance of reaching them. The Titans beat the Sixers on Wednesday in an entertaining match but that was in Dhaka. The track in Chittagong has played well with plenty of runs to be had so this match will likely come down to which batting department can fire. The Titans have the edge in terms of the bowlers so that may give them the edge once again but there is little to pick between them here.
