All-time meetings: Dhaka Dynamites W4, Rangpur Riders W4
Last meeting: Dhaka Dynamites beat Rangpur Riders by 2 runs

Coach: Khaled Mahmud

Captain: Shakib Al Hasan

  • After winning their first four matches in the tournament, Dhaka Dynamites are experiencing something of a wobble having lost three of their last four matches with their latest coming against an inspired Comilla Victorians outfit.

  • It has been the Dynamites batting line-up that has been struggling in recent matches with Hazratullah Zazai and Sunil Narine unable to get off to a good start opening the innings with them relying heavily on skipper Shakib Al Hasan and Andre Russell but they have to improve especially on this excellent batting strip in Chattogram.

  • There may be changes for this match with Heino Kuhn and Kieron Pollard both in with a chance of coming back into the side with Darwish Rasooli’s place in particular under threat as they face a big challenge against the in-form Riders.

Coach: Tom Moody

Captain: Mashrafe Mortaza

  • Rangpur Riders are one of four teams along with their opponents here tied on ten points but they have the greatest momentum all of those teams having won their last three matches in a row in emphatic fashion too.

  • The top four batsmen of Chris Gayle, Alex Hales, Rilee Rossouw and AB de Villiers is in formidable form with Hales and Rossouw coming off centuries in the same game for the Riders as they amassed a stunning 239/4 and they are enjoying the batting-friendly conditions in Chattogram.

  • Their bowling attack which is completely local and led by skipper Mashrafe Mortaza continues to do well and they will be desperate to seek revenge on the Dynamites for the two-run win earlier in the tournament as they will likely be unchanged here.

The first match between these two teams was a classic as the Dynamites edged it by two runs and this one promises to be another excellent encounter. The Riders are in sensational form right now and compared to that first match, they look a completely different outfit with Gayle and De Villiers in the team now. The Dynamites are struggling with their batting at the moment which was a stark contrast to earlier in the tournament when it was key to them winning matches. Against this fearsome Riders’ line-up, it is hard to see them being able to match them.
