All-time meetings: Dhaka Dynamites W4, Khulna Titans W2
Last meeting: Dhaka Dynamites beat Khulna Titans by 105 runs

Coach: Khaled Mahmud

Captain: Shakib Al Hasan

  • Dhaka Dynamites have lost their last five matches in a row including a nail-biter with Comilla Victorians on Friday and they come into this match of the group stage knowing that it is win or face elimination from the tournament.

  • There were plenty of positives to take from the one-run loss to the Victorians as they produced an excellent bowling performance to restrict them to just 127 but they fell narrowly short despite Russell’s heroics.

  • Tharanga came in at the top of the order but was out for a duck though he may be given another opportunity here, while Narine looked better batting at number five so they may go unchanged here.

Coach: Mahela Jayawardene

Captain: Mahmudullah

  • Khulna Titans have been eliminated from the tournament for some time now and they can only play for pride in this final match with the only incentive being to cause an upset against the heavily favoured Dynamites.

  • Their overseas players have been finding some form in recent matches with Taylor, Malan and Wiese playing particularly well and the motivation in their team will be to try and impress the management with next year’s edition in mind.

  • Brathwaite came in for the last game but he could rotate back out of the side with Yasir Shah a candidate to be handed a start and they may hand an opportunity to one or two of their younger local players.

All the motivation is in favour of Dhaka Dynamites who know that nothing short of a win will suffice if they are to keep their tournament alive and reach the play-offs. The Titans have endured a miserable tournament winning just two of their 11 matches and it seems highly unlikely that they will spring a surprise here. The Dynamites will be super motivated to get the win here and they should have too much for the Titans even if the match is closer than they would like.
