All-time meetings: Comilla Victorians W3, Sylhet Sixers W2
Last meeting: Comilla Victorians beat Sylhet Sixers by four wickets

Coach: Mohammad Salahuddin

Captain: Imrul Kayes

  • Comilla will be looking to bounce back from a four-wicket defeat to Chittagong Vikings on Sunday, leaving them with two wins and two defeats from their opening two games, as they come into the next phase of the tournament in Sylhet.

  • Comilla will surely look to move Thisara Perera up the order after he hit an unbeaten 76 off just 26 balls, coming in at number eight against the Vikings as he carried his strong form with Sri Lanka into the competition.

  • The Victorians will again be without Steve Smith with the former Australia captain set to undergo surgery on an elbow injury and there remains some doubt as to when he will return to the squad.

Coach: Waqar Younis

Captain: David Warner

  • Sylhet also go into the game off the back of a defeat after falling to a 32-run loss against Dhaka Dynamites on Saturday and they will be keen to get a win under their belts as the tournament moves to Sylhet.

  • Despite losing two of their opening three games, the Sixers will be buoyed by the form of Nicholas Pooran, who hit nine sixes in a 47-ball 72 at the weekend, and his form in recent months has been outstanding so he could move up the order.

  • Captain David Warner will be hoping to return to the form that saw him hit 59 against Chittagong in Sylhet's only win so far as he tries to find some consistency in his play at the top of the order.

Two teams in need of victory to get their campaigns back on track and Comilla will be hoping for a repeat of their victory in a tight low-scoring game between these sides in Dhaka earlier this month. Perera’s big-hitting could be key, although the Sixers play on their home turf this time which could give them an edge.
