All-time meetings: Chittagong Vikings W3, Dhaka Dynamites W5, No result 1
Last meeting: Dhaka Dynamites beat Chittagong Vikings by 7 wickets

Coach: Nurul Abedin

Captain: Mushfiqur Rahim

  • Chittagong Vikings are possibly the form team in the competition based on their performances in the Sylhet phase of the tournament as they have won their last three matches and sit second behind their opponents here.

  • They come off their best performance with the bat in the tournament so far as they walloped 214/4 against the Khulna Titans with Yasir Ali and skipper Mushfiqur Rahim both hitting half centuries and Mohammad Shahzad and Dasun Shanaka both making significant contributions.

  • It is highly unlikely that they will change a winning team as they seem to have the right formula at the moment and the balance in the team is excellent as they face the Bangladesh Premier League leaders although Robbie Frylinck could return if fit enough.

Coach: Khaled Mahmud

Captain: Shakib Al Hasan

  • Dhaka Dynamites bounced back nicely from their first defeat of this edition of the BPL by beating Sylhet Sixers as they chased own 158/8 with three overs to spare as skipper Shakib Al Hasan and Andre Russell smashed their way to victory.

  • Aliss Al Islam picked up an injury last time out after bowling just one over and he is unlikely to figure here so Shuvagata Hom will likely replace him which is a positive change regardless while Darwish Rasooli will continue in place of the absent Hazratullah Zazai.

  • The top order has been looking a little more fragile of late as they continue to rely on their middle order but they will aim to improve that, while Andrew Birch will likely retain his place after taking three wickets in his first start against the Sixers.

Dhaka will be happy to return home after the Sylhet phase of the tournament, and they will be keen to kick on and consolidate their top spot. The Vikings are in superb form themselves right now and their batting line-up especially is on fire. The Dynamites were without a number of players last time out and they were not quite as dominant despite their win. They will have their hands full against the Vikings in what should be a close match that could easily go either way.
