All-time meetings: Chittagong Vikings W2, Dhaka Dynamites W5, No result 1
Last meeting: Chittagong Vikings beat Dhaka Dynamites by 11 runs

Coach: Nurul Abedin

Captain: Mushfiqur Rahim

  • Chittagong Vikings enter this crunch eliminator in disappointing form having lost four of their last five matches including the final game against the already-eliminated Sylhet Sixers so they are going to have to raise their performance significantly here.

  • They beat Dhaka Dynamites twice in the group phase so that will fill them with confidence coming into this match but they will need some of their batsmen to step up and support skipper Mushfiqur Rahim and contribute more.

  • They have struggled without key South African all-rounder Robbie Frylinck who has been out for a couple of weeks through injury now but there is a good chance that he can return for the knockout matches which would be a major boost if he does pass fit.

Coach: Khaled Mahmud

Captain: Shakib Al Hasan

  • Dhaka Dynamites scraped into the knockout phase by beating bottom-placed Khulna Titans on Saturday and that was key to regain some confidence as well as qualify for the Eliminator after having lost their previous five matches.
  • The win over the Titans was also key as they did not have to rely on Shakib Al Hasan or Andre Russell to get the win as Tharanga and Sunil Narine finally found some form to lead them to victory.

  • They will likely name an unchanged team following the win over the Titans on Saturday and they will be confident despite having lost twice to the Vikings in the group stage that they can carry some momentum into the knockouts now.

A fascinating game between two teams that had excellent first halves to the group stages, but both limped into the last two play-off places with some pretty abysmal form. The Dynamites have the star quality in their ranks and there were some promising signs against the Titans on Saturday that they are regaining some form. The Vikings have the comfort of knowing they have already beaten the Dynamites twice already but they have little momentum coming into this match. That could be decisive in this match and the Dynamites’ big match players may just have the edge.
