Rob Cross will have already have faced Daryl Gurney on the Rotterdam stage before he plays Gary Anderson in the final match of the night.
Earlier results could mean that Cross could be as much as five points ahead or as little as just one point ahead of Anderson by the start of this match.
Cross ended a five-match losing run against Anderson when he defeated him 7-5 just two weeks ago in week nine of the 2018 Premier League.
This is the second of the two matches that Gary Anderson is due to play in Rotterdam on Wednesday evening, with his other fixture being against Michael Smith.
Two wins for Anderson on the night along with other results going his way could mean he sits as high as second place in the league table at the conclusion of the evening’s play.
Although Anderson lost 7-5 to Cross in their previous Premier League meeting, he did have darts at doubles to win 10 of the 12 legs in the match.
This looks capable of being a high-quality match to round off the evening; plenty is at stake with both players chasing a top-four finish in the league. It’s obviously difficult to assess their confidence coming into the game as both will have played earlier on in the evening so a big win or defeat may have a significant impact.
One thing for sure is that if they both turn up on the top of their game it could be a cracker and not one to be missed. A 6-6 draw wouldn’t be a surprise outcome.
