Head Coach: Garth Brennan

Starting 13: Gordon, Don, Hurrell, Lee, Sami, Brimson, Taylor, Wallace, Peats, James, Proctor, Hipgrave, Arrow – Interchanges: Rein, Fotuaika, Matthews, Stockwell – Reserves: Boyle, Latu, Elgey, Elliot, Whitbread

Unavailable: Kyle Flanagan, Max King, Bryce Cartwright, Dale Copley

  • Gold Coast were nilled last week as they were outclassed by Brisbane. The Titans never got going and were made to pay the price as the Broncos ran out 0-34 winners in a result that effectively ended Gold Coast’s hopes of making the play-offs.

  • Dale Copley is out for the season with a hamstring injury so is replaced in the centres by Konrad Hurrell. Jai Arrow and Jarrod Wallace are both back from Origin duty and return to the starting 13 with Morgan Boyle and Leilani Latu dropping out as a result.

  • The Titans have won three of their seven home games this season but have lost their last two at the Cbus Super Stadium.

Head Coach: Trent Robinson

Starting 13: Tedesco, Tupou, Mitchell, Manu, Ferguson, Keary, Cronk, Waerea-Hargreaves, Friend, Taukeiaho, Butcher, Liu – Interchanges: Tetevano, Collins, Aubusson, Baptiste – Reserves: Ikuvalu, Tupouniua, Matterson, O’Sullivan, Momirovski, Faamausili

Unavailable: Boyd Cordner, Dylan Napa, Victor Radley

  • Sydney Roosters had the bye week to stew on what might have been as they suffered a late defeat to Melbourne in their last encounter. Latrell Mitchell shanked a penalty kick from in front that could have won the game for his side but Cameron Smith kicked a late drop goal to seal an 8-9 win for the Storm.

  • The Roosters have only named 12 players in their run-on side after Victor Radley was forced out after being suspended. His place in the second row could be taken by Ryan Matterson who is named amongst the reserves following a spell out with concussion. Joseph Manu is back from a ban with Jared Waerea-Hargreaves also returning but Dylan Napa is out.

  • After seven games away from home this season, the Roosters have a 4-3 record and will need to improve that if they are to force their way into the top 4.

Gold Coast’s season was all but ended by last week’s heavy defeat against Brisbane in which the Titans failed to score a point. They now host a Roosters side that enjoyed the week off last week and will be refreshed as they continue their quest to make the top 4. The Roosters were involved in a superb contest in their last outing against the Storm but were defeated late on and were left to rue missed opportunities. With no more than pride at stake for Gold Coast, the side from Sydney could capitalise and potentially end the weekend back inside the top 4.
