  • Gold Coast produced a solid display as they overcame Wests Tigers last week. The Titans ran in three tries in the final quarter of the game to seal a 12-30 win.

  • Forwards Jai Arrow and Jarrod Wallace both miss out for the Titans as they’re away for Origin. Morgan Boyle and Konrad Hurrell come onto the bench in their place.

  • The Titans have given themselves an outside chance of making the play-offs with back-to-back wins but it is imperative that they win this one to keep in touch with the top 8.

Head Coach: Wayne Bennett

Starting 13: Boyd, Pearson, Su’A, Kahu, Isaako, Milford, Nikorima, Lodge, Turpin, Thaiday, Glenn, Fifita, Ofahengaue – Interchanges: Mago, Pangai Jnr, Sims, Staggs – Reserves: Tagataese, Scarlett

Unavailable: Andre Savelio, Matt Gillett, Jack Bird, Payne Haas, Corey Oates, James Roberts, Andrew McCullough, Josh McGuire, Tom Opacic

  • Brisbane produced a great second half display in which they scored 26 points as they broke the hearts of Canberra last week. 14 points in the final quarter was enough for the Broncos to come back to claim the two points in a thrilling 26-22 win.

  • The Broncos are without James Roberts, Corey Oates, Andrew McCullough and Josh McGuire who are away on Origin duty. David Fifita comes into the second row whilst Jaydn Su’A will start at centre and Jake Turpin will make his NRL debut at centre. Kotoni Staggs comes onto the bench along with Korbin Sims and Tevita Pangai Jnr who has recovered from a rib injury.

  • Brisbane have won four of their last six matches as they hang on to the final play-off spot and a win here would extend the gap over Gold Coast to eight points.

Gold Coast have an outside chance of making the play-offs but need to put a consistent run together starting with a win over the side currently occupying the final spot in the top 8, Brisbane. The Broncos scored an important win over the Raiders last week and need to build on that with another win here. If they can do that, they will extend the gap over the Titans to eight points which will leave them with a huge task to try and claw their way back into play-off contention. Both teams are missing bodies to Origin but the Broncos are hit harder with numerous changes which could open the door for the Titans.
