All-time meetings: Jamaica Tallawahs W, St Kitts & Nevis Patriots W

Coach: Mark O'Donnell

Captain: Andre Russell

  • The Tallawahs have made an impressive start to their CPL 2018 campaign having won both of their opening matches and they come into the second of their back-to-back matches having beaten the St Lucia Stars on Tuesday night by six wickets.

  • Adam Zampa was in excellent form on his first start since arriving from the England t20 Blast as he took three wickets for 27 including the key wicket of Andre Fletcher as he looked in ominous form to hold the Stars to 175 from their 20 overs.

  • Given their form, it is highly unlikely they will make changes here as this was arguably a more complete performance than their opening win with several batsmen and bowlers contributing which is an ominous sign as they come into this game.

Coach: Donovan Miller

Captain: Chris Gayle

  • The Patriots come off a win in their last match where they had too much firepower for the star-studded Knight Riders batting line-up and that will give them confidence following the opening defeat they suffered.

  • They are highly unlikely to make changes from that win for this game as both the batting order and bowling unit played well with most players contributing throughout which was promising given their over-reliance on Chris Gayle in the opening match.

  • Talented young spinner Lamichhane had another excellent game taking 1/17 from 3 overs while Brathwaite shone with both bat and ball, so they will be key figures for them once again here.

The Tallawahs have started the tournament in ominous form and after the Russell heroics in the opening game, the win on Tuesday night was a really strong all-round performance. The same could be said for the Patriots around their reliance on Chris Gayle in the opening match but his team-mates stepped in the second game. They have several matchwinners of their own in their ranks, which makes this a fascinating encounter. Difficult to go against the Tallawahs at home, but this could be a close affair coming down to whichever of the big hitters really fires.
