THE TEAM NEWS

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

  • Tampa Bay scored a franchise-record 55 points as they produced an outstanding offensive performance to shock the Los Angeles Rams and their challenge will be to try and replicate that display as they face the test of New Orleans in the Superdome.
  • Buccaneers WR Mike Evans will be assessed during the week after he was temporarily forced from the field with a hand injury against the Rams but his absence from the injury report suggests he has overcome that issue.
  • After missing Wednesday’s practice, the Buccaneers were given a boost by the return of OLB Shaquil Barrett, WR Chris Godwin and C Ryan Jensen who all featured at Thursday’s practice in a limited capacity.

NEW ORLEANS SAINTS

  • New Orleans won their first game without scoring a TD since 1998 as their new-found defensive steel led them to victory over Dallas and that will be put to the test again as they face a Tampa Bay offense that ran up 55 points last week.
  • Saints DE Trey Hendrickson suffered a neck injury against the Cowboys and he is a doubt ahead of this Week 5 clash with the Buccaneers after failing to appear at the first two practice sessions of the week.
  • S J.T. Gray was the only other New Orleans player to sit out a practice during the early part of the week but he returned in a limited capacity on Thursday which is a good sign following his hand injury.

THE PREDICTION

New Orleans have been a superb team to watch over the last couple of years because of their offense but their defense has come to the table this season. They produced a great display to keep the Cowboys offense quiet in last week's win and they will be eager to repeat that against a buoyant Buccaneers offense. It will be a big ask for them to produce anything close to what they did last week and the Saints defense should be able to keep them in check for another home win.
