THE TEAM NEWS

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS

  • Tampa Bay produced a dominant display to defeat an improving Atlanta team as their offense were much more consistent than usual and that allowed them to pick up the win to move to 4-7.
  • The Buccaneers will need to assess defensive lineman Beau Allen after he suffered a stinger to his neck against the Falcons but he is likely to suit up after registering a limited practice on Wednesday.
  • Several defensive players were either limited or unable to practice at the first session of the week and it will be a concern for the Buccaneers, especially in regards to linebacker Jason Pierre-Paul whose knee injury prevented him from participating.

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

  • Jacksonville's hopes of making the post-season suffered another blow as they went down to a third straight loss against Tennessee and that divisional defeat leaves them with an almost impossible task to finish in a play-off spot.
  • The Jaguars are not expected to make a change at quarterback with Nick Foles set to remain under center despite calls to reinstate Gardner Minshew and that could be the case for the rest of the season unless there is a change of mind-set from head coach Doug Marrone .
  • Four players were absent at Wednesday’s practice and there are big concerns over defensive lineman Calais Campbell and safety Ronnie Harrison who are suffering with back and concussion issues respectively.

THE PREDICTION

Tampa Bay showed what a good team they can be with last week's impressive win but consistency is their issue and that will be the test here. They travel to an out-of-sorts Jacksonville team that look beatable and the Bucs should win this if they can get the ball to wide receivers Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. That pair have offered quarterback Jameis Winston plenty of options this season and they are likely to be crucial once again in a game the Bucs are able to come out on top of.
