What was the outcome in the last meeting? Arizona Cardinals 24-27 Seattle Seahawks

  • Seattle slipped to defeat against New Orleans which was the first time they have lost at home in September under head coach Pete Carroll and he took responsibility for that loss.
  • Seahawks LT Duane Brown took a hit to his arm against the Saints on Sunday and although it does not appear to be a serious injury he was not able to practice on Wednesday, with Seattle defining it as an injury to his biceps.
  • The Seahawks have injury concerns across both sides of the ball and new inclusions on their injury report this week were G Ethan Pocic, DE Ziggy Ansah and RB Travis Homer, with all three needing to be monitored alongside numerous others before Sunday’s game.

  • Arizona fell way short of what was needed as they continued their run without a victory when losing to Carolina last week and they face another tough task here to earn their first win of the season.
  • The Cardinals will have to monitor P Andy Lee during the week after he suffered a hip injury during the loss to the Panthers and they have moved to re-sign Winslow Tuesday to their practice squad in case Lee misses any game time.
  • DE Jonathan Bullard returned to practice in a limited capacity for the first time in two weeks on Wednesday but S Charles Washington looks set to miss out with a shoulder injury, with the Cardinals moving to sign Chris Banjo as cover.

Seattle fell to a disappointing loss last week and will be keen to bounce back against Arizona. The Cardinals are still without a win this season and will find it difficult going against the Seahawks but, with both teams looking capable of posting scores, this could turn into a shootout. The Cardinals have shown glimpses of what they can do with rookie QB Kyler Murray under center, but against a well-rounded defense they might struggle to do enough to earn their first win.
