  • New York Jets will hope they can improve after their bye week with some injured players back on the field as they enter this game 0-3 but it will be a difficult task after Philadelphia picked up a superb victory last week.
  • Jets QB Sam Darnold has a chance of returning for this Week 5 clash after he was cleared to begin practising in a non-contact capacity but as of Thursday’s practice, he was still participating in a limited capacity.
  • The Jets could be light up front with G Kelechi Osemele potentially set to miss out alongside LBs C.J. Mosley and Jordan Jenkins who are already on the sidelines with groin and calf injuries respectively.

  • Philadelphia produced a superb victory on the road against Green Bay on TNF with their defense making some outstanding plays to condemn the Packers to their first defeat of the season whilst improving to 2-2 themselves.
  • Eagles CB Avonte Maddox is expected to miss this game at the very least after he suffered a neck sprain against the Packers and he looks set to join CB Ronald Darby, TE Alex Ellis, WR DeSean Jackson and DT Timmy Jernigan on the sidelines.
  • CB Sidney Jones was limited in practice on both Wednesday and Thursday and is a doubt ahead of this game whilst T Jason Peters was also added to the injury report with a knee injury after he was limited on Thursday.

New York Jets were hoping to have several injured stars back in their side this week but their offensive line could still be light and QB Sam Darnold's availability will not become clear until closer to kick-off. Even if he is back, this trip to Philadelphia looks a tough one with the Eagles able to build on their impressive victory over Green Bay last week by claiming a comfortable win on home turf which would see them improve to 3-2.
