What was the outcome in the last meeting? Tampa Bay Buccaneers 24-31 New Orleans Saints

  • New Orleans struggled on offense as they endured a shock loss at home to Atlanta in what was just their second defeat of the season and they will be desperate to respond as they head on the road to Tampa Bay.
  • Saints cornerback Marcus Lattimore suffered a thigh injury and he will be a big miss for New Orleans should he have to lose any game time with that worry potentially becoming reality after he sat out Wednesday’s practice.
  • Tackle Andrus Peat and wide receiver Deonte Harris were also missing on Wednesday while fullback Zach Line and linebacker Demario Davis were limited but none of those will concern the Saints as much as the potential loss of Lattimore.

  • Tampa Bay edged Arizona in a high-scoring contest with the Buccaneers ending their four-match losing streak with that victory and they will look to capitalise on New Orleans’ poor performance last week to try and make it back-to-back wins.
  • The Buccaneers had three members of their defense sidelined last week but are hopeful they can return for this game with the Saints but they posted another worrying injury report on Wednesday.
  • Defensive back M.J. Stewart, offensive linebacker Anthony Nelson and cornerback Carlton Davis all sat out the first practice of the week along with tackle Demar Dotson although the latter was afforded a rest day.

New Orleans will be desperate to get back onto the field and right the wrongs of last week after putting in their worst performance of the year against Atlanta. They travel to Tampa Bay who can cause them problems and this is likely to be a high-scoring affair. The last game between these two teams in Week 5 yielded 55 points and a shootout could be the theme again but the Buccaneers can come out on top of this one in what would be another shock result for the Saints.
