What was the outcome in the last meeting? Denver Broncos 23-30 Kansas City Chiefs

  • Kansas City failed to bounce back from their loss against Indianapolis as they were defeated for a second straight game against Houston with the Chiefs struggling for fluency on offense against a solid defense.
  • The Chiefs welcomed WR Tyreek Hill back to the team for the first time since Week 1 and he managed two TDs on his return to the team but fellow WR Sammy Watkins was ruled out early on with a hamstring injury.
  • It is serious enough to rule him out for this contest too and will be joined on the sidelines by CB Kendall Fuller who suffered a thumb fracture in last week’s loss as well as LT Eric Fisher, LG Andrew Wylie and DT Chris Jones.

  • Denver produced another superb defensive display as they shutout Tennessee to make it back-to-back victories to improve to 2-4 having only conceded one TD in those games which was from a punt return against Los Angeles Chargers.
  • WR Emmanuel Sanders failed to finish the game against the Titans because of a knee injury but the Broncos are confident he will suit up after he logged two full practices on Tuesday and Wednesday.
  • CB Bruce Callahan will continue to sit out because of a foot injury but RT Ja’Wuan James’ status remains up in the air after being a limited participant throughout the week at practice as he attempts to overcome a knee injury.

Kansas City got one of their offensive stars back on the field last week but it was not enough for them to overcome Houston. A Denver defense that has allowed just 13 points in the last two games awaits here in what could be another tough game but the Chiefs should get back to winning ways. The Broncos defense will pose plenty of problems for the Chiefs and can limit the number of points they score but the home side may not be able to respond with enough points of their own.
