What was the outcome in the last meeting? Tampa Bay Buccaneers 12-25 Indianapolis Colts

  • Indianapolis' play-off chances took a huge blow as they were defeated by divisional rivals Tennessee which saw them fall to 6-6 following a second successive loss to a team in the AFC South.
  • The Colts suffered more injury woe in their receiving corps with Chester Rogers going down with a knee fracture that will end his season but there is a chance they could be boosted by the return of Pro Bowl wideout T.Y. Hilton after he once again missed out last week.
  • After an injury-hit season, the absence of key players looks to be catching up with the Colts and they posted another long injury report at the start of the week, but running back Marlon Mack logging a limited practice on Wednesday was a promising sign.

  • Tampa Bay were able to make it back-to-back wins as they proved too good for Jacksonville having raced into a 25-0 lead and they were able to see the game out despite only adding a field goal to their tally in the second half.
  • The Buccaneers had a big injury concern over cornerback Jamel Dean after he did not return to last week's game having picked up a knock to his shoulder but it was deemed a minor issue when assessed at the start of the week and he should suit up.
  • Despite the good news on Dean, the injury report does not make good reading for the Buccaneers with guard Alex Cappa and linebackers Anthony Nelson and Jason Pierre-Paul all absent from the first practice of the week.

Indianapolis now have it all to do if they are to progress to the post-season after they lost a second straight game to a divisional rival. They head to a Tampa Bay outfit that have won their last two and with injuries continuing to blight the Colts, this is a great opportunity for the Bucs to make it three in a row. They have injury concerns of their own on defense and even if the Colts get a couple of their offensive weapons back, they are likely to find it difficult against an improving Tampa Bay.
