What was the outcome in the last meeting? Denver Broncos 25-13 Indianapolis Colts

  • Denver could not make it three wins in a row as they were brought back down to earth with a bang in their loss to Kansas City with the Broncos failing to build on an early lead with RB Royce Freeman’s TD the only points they managed all game.
  • With the season slipping away for the Broncos, they could be open to selling some of their players before the trade deadline and have already allowed WR Emmanuel Sanders to join San Francisco.
  • T Ja’Wuan James was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice which was the first time he logged a full session since Week 1 and he is trending towards featuring in Sunday’s contest although it is likely he will play on a reduced snap count.

  • Indianapolis did not allow their bye week to halt their momentum as they made it back-to-back wins when defeating AFC South rivals Houston in what was an impressive and important victory in an extremely competitive division.
  • Colts QB Jacoby Brissett enjoyed a career day in terms of TDs as he threw four to lead his side to the important win over the Texans and he will look to build on that performance against a defense that can be tough to deal with on their day.
  • CB Kenny Moore missed the win in Week 7 because of a knee injury but he appeared at Wednesday’s practice as a limited participant and he looks set to return to the team for this contest.

Indianapolis are quietly going about their business this season and after the bye week allowed them to get some players back on the field, they look set to challenge for the post-season. They host Denver in the hunt for a third straight win and will have to keep winning with their division the most competitive in the NFL ahead of this game. The Broncos were poor last week and they have too much to fix up for this game with the Colts able to come out on top on home turf.
