What was the outcome in the last meeting? Washington Redskins 41-21 Chicago Bears

  • Chicago kicked a 53-yard field goal as time expired to pick up their first win of the season as they defeated Denver in a close contest but will have to be wary in this game when facing a Washington side that has defeated them on seven consecutive occasions.
  • Bears DL Bilal Nichols is likely to miss this game and several others after suffering a hand injury in his side's win last week which has since been diagnosed as broken but he may be able to return to the field in the not too distant future.
  • TE Trey Burton, NT Eddie Goldman, DB Eddie Jackson and OL Kyle Long all appeared on the Chicago injury report at their first practice as limited participants but it would be a surprise if any of them failed to suit up.

  • Washington proved to be competitive again but fell to a second consecutive defeat to begin their campaign with a home loss against Dallas and this now shapes as a big game for the Redskins as they bid to avoid falling to 0-3.
  • Redskins TE Vernon Davis suffered an eye injury in last week's defeat but it is not expected to cost him any game-time moving forward which will be a boost considering Jordan Reed’s ongoing concussion issues.
  • The Redskins suffered a big blow on defense during the defeat to the Cowboys with CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie going down with an ankle injury that is sufficient enough to see him place on IR.

Washington continue to struggle with injuries but have performed well in their two games so far despite failing to win either game. They face another tough test against Chicago this week and with the Bears picking up their first win of the year against Denver, they can back that up by claiming another victory. The Redskins have had the better of them in recent meetings but the Bears can end that run at seven games.
