Wellington Phoenix find themselves rooted to the bottom of the A-League table and are now seven matches without a win. The New Zealand based outfit have only won once this season in the league and will hope that 2018 brings an upturn in results. However, with the upcoming visit of Melbourne Victory who are currently in mid-table, all signs point to another tough outing for the Phoenix.
The two sides met at the Westpac Stadium as recently as last month while playing out an entertaining game involving no less than five goals. Wellington Phoenix took the early ascendancy after going 2-0 ahead in the first half, but it was the Melbourne based side who lived up to their name as three unanswered second half strikes saw them turn the game on its head and subsequently secure victory.
