THE STATISTICS

THE LOWDOWN

ROOSTERS

Head Coach: Trent Robinson

Starting 13: Tedesco, Tupou, Mitchell, Manu, Ferguson, Keary, Cronk, Waerea-Hargreaves, Friend, Taukeiaho, Cordner, Matterson, Radley – Interchanges: Liu, Tetevano, Aubusson, Baptiste – Reserves: Butcher, Ikuvalu, Napa, Collins

Unavailable:

  • Sydney Roosters ran in 10 tries as they hammered Manly last week. The Roosters were too good and blitzed the Sea Eagles from the off with four tries in the opening 20 minutes, eventually running out 24-56 winners.

  • After missing out last week, Mitchell Aubusson and Isaac Liu return on the bench, coming in for Nat Butcher and Lindsay Collins. Dylan Napa could also return having been named amongst the reserves.

  • The Roosters have now won six of their last seven games and with a clean bill of health heading into the business end of the season, they will fancy their chances of improving on their current position of fourth place.

DRAGONS

Head Coach: Paul McGregor

Starting 13: Dufty, Pereira, Aitken, Lafai, Nightingale, Widdop, Hunt, Graham, McInnes, Vaughan, Frizell, Sims, De Belin – Interchanges: Latimore, Mann, Ah Mau, Leilua – Reserves: Herbert, Lawrie, Field, Lomax

Unavailable: Jacob Host, Nene Macdonald

  • St George bounced back from losing their perfect home record with a win on the road against North Queensland Cowboys. The Dragons were comfortable throughout and controlled the game as they claimed a 10-24 win.

  • Blake Lawrie drops out of the 17 to make way for the return of Tyson Frizell whilst Luciano Leilua reverts to the bench.

  • The Dragons avoided three losses in a row with their win last week and are now level on points with league leaders Melbourne.

THE PREDICTION

Sydney Roosters host St George in what could be the game of the weekend to see out Round 20. The fourth-placed Roosters are just two points behind the second-placed Dragons as the race for the minor Premiership hots up. The Roosters have been in good form of late and have only lost one of their last seven which was a one-point loss to the Storm. The Dragons on the other hand suffered back-to-back losses before their win over the Cowboys last week but they were the only losses from St George’s last six games. This should be a brilliant contest but slight preference is for the Roosters who have the stronger form coming into this.
