LAST MEETING
Jacksonville Jaguars 45-42 Pittsburgh Steelers

THE LOWDOWN

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS

Head Coach: Doug Marrone

W/L: 3-6

  • Jacksonville’s troubles continued as they suffered yet another defeat last week, this time at divisional rivals Indianapolis.

  • The Jaguars lost their fifth-straight game in a 29-26 defeat at the Colts, a result that leaves them bottom of the pile in AFC South.

  • One positive for the Jaguars was the return of star RB Leonard Fournette who chipped in with 2 TDs and 109 total scrimmage yards.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Head Coach: Mike Tomlin

W/L: 6-2-1

  • The big story out of Pittsburgh this week is undoubtedly the news that star RB Le’Veon Bell did not report for Tuesday’s deadline and will now be ineligible for the rest of the season.

  • Bell has played his last game for the Steelers with him set to become an unrestricted free-agent but his current side will be pleased to set the saga to one side.

  • The Steelers were very impressive last week and improved to a 6-2-1 record at the top of the AFC North with a 52-21 hammering of the Panthers.

THE PREDICTION

With the story that has dominated the NFL so far this season finally over, for now at least, the Steelers can focus on on-field matters. They did just that with a great win over the Panthers last week and now face an out-of-sorts Jaguars. They have lost five games in a row and that losing run is set to be extended here with Pittsburgh’s 4th ranked scoring offense rolling into town.
