LAST MEETING
Ospreys 34-18 Leinster

THE LOWDOWN

LEINSTER

Head Coach: Leo Cullen

  • After a short break, Leinster will be looking to resume their excellent form in the Pro14. They currently sit first in Conference B having lost just once in their first eight games.

  • Last time out, they beat bottom-placed side Southern Kings 38-31 with a much-changed side thanks to six tries from six different players.

  • Leinster are currently on an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions and will be hoping to extend their excellent form on Friday.

OSPREYS

Head Coach: Allen Clarke

  • Although it was over two weeks ago, Ospreys’ last game was a crushing 20-29 loss to Conference A leaders Glasgow Warriors.

  • Ospreys currently sit third in Conference A, but overall have had a very strong start to the season, winning five games and losing three.

  • Despite the result against Glasgow, head coach Allen Clarke could see the positives from his players’ display after admitting that Glasgow are two years ahead of the Ospreys at the moment.

THE PREDICTION

Rugby fans are in for a treat as two of the Pro14’s best teams face off on Friday night. Although many of their international players won’t be available, both sides will be hoping to maintain their strong starts to the season, with Leinster the clear favourites here. The Irish outfit have the best points difference in the whole of the Pro14 and should be able to extend that - and their unbeaten run - with a win over a strong Ospreys side.
