All-time meetings: Melbourne Renegades W8, Brisbane Heat W2
Last meeting: Melbourne Renegades beat Brisbane Heat by 8 wickets
THE TEAM NEWS
Coach: Andrew McDonald
Captain: Tom Cooper
The Renegades are sat in a top four position in the BBL08 ladder and come into this return fixture against the Heat having just beaten them on Thursday in a comprehensive eight wicket victory.
Usman Khan Shinwari has departed for international duty with Pakistan so they have replaced the fast bowler with English paceman Harry Gurney and he is likely to make his debut immediately against the Heat.
Kane Richardson has a sore hamstring and has been left out of the squad for this match once again so that means Joe Mennie will likely deputise for him here and he bowled relatively well in the last match against the Heat.

Brisbane Heat will have to bounce back immediately and recover from the heavy eight wicket defeat on Thursday to the same opponents here as they aim to close the gap on the top four teams.
They have been dealt a major blow by the news that fast bowler James Pattinson has a side strain that could well rule him out for the remainder of the tournament so that will be a big loss to what is already a below average bowling unit.
Pace bowler Jack Prestwidge comes into the squad and could make his Big Bash debut if selected, while Marnus Labuschagne returns at the expense of Joe Burns who drops out, and Ben Cutting is fit despite needing five stitches after the last game.
These two teams played just a couple of days ago and the Renegades won that match comfortably. Both teams have some enforced changes to make but it is the Renegades who are least affected as the Heat have lost their primary fast bowler to injury without a replacement yet. That will likely knock their confidence further and unless the batsmen can really fire, the Renegades should have far too much for them once again.
