2017 Premier League Darts - Week 12 Preview

20th Apr 2017 by TSZ

Players in white signify those in the current play-off positions.

Verdict & Betting Tips
Lewis is one of the form players in the Premier League at the moment, having won 5 of his last 6 games in the competition to make a surge for the play-offs, not to mention his fabulous 9-darter last week. Chisnall himself has improved lately, but has struggled to kill games off when in a winning position. 180's are a sure thing with these, so bank on their being over 5.5

Prediction - Lewis win

Verdict & Betting Tips
A crucial fixture in the race to the 02, this one could well go the distance in a high quality affair. The pair drew 6-6 in their first Premier League meeting this season, and a repeat wouldn't surprise anyone. Consider the over 11.5 legs market, whilst Anderson has hit a ton plus finish in 8 of his 12 matches so the stats suggest he will take out a higher outshot.

Prediction - Draw

Verdict & Betting Tips
Wade registered a much needed win over Taylor last week but he cannot really afford any more slip-ups if he is to make a bid for the top four. Wright's form has dipped somewhat and he is now winless in three, but he will be hungry to get back on track here and cement his top four place. He has hit double the amount of maximums that Wade has, so tip Snakebite to average higher and hit more 180's than Wade.

Prediction - Wright win

Verdict & Betting Tips
Van Barneveld is one of the few players who can stop MVG in his tracks, as was shown by the elder statesman's 7-5 win over his Dutch rival earlier in the season. However, the pair met at the German Darts Masters over the weekend, with Van Gerwen storming to victory on his way to the title, so he should be favoured to exact Premier League revenge here. Van Gerwen has averaged over 100 in all of his Premier League matches this season, whilst Van Barneveld usually raises his game for this fixture, so take both player to average over 100

Prediction - Van Gerwen win

Verdict & Betting Tips
Regardless of the result in Taylor's first match of the evening, he will look at this as a match he should be winning given Chisnall's struggles this year. Chizzy will no doubt hit more 180's than his illustrious opponent, as he leads that particular chart along with Van Barneveld, but his composure at the end of legs has been his downfall of late so Taylor should have enough to prevail.

Prediction - Taylor win
